Al Waffer 2017A 360-degree advertising campaign for a leading financial brand in Bahrain.This campaign was designed to promote “Al Waffer”, a product of Khaleeji Commercial Bank.Al Waffer is a Shari’a compliant investment account which gives you the chance to valuable prizes for every BD 25.00 invested. In 2017, the product was redesigned to have 6 attractive prizes over the period of 12 months. This was a unique value proportion when compared to all the competitor products; the category which offers a single mega prize and a grand draw at the end of each year. We wanted ‘Al Waffer’ to be the talk of the town.Our vision was simple and clear. We had to create buzz around the product. We wanted ‘Al Waffer’ to be the talk of the town. For this, we created a strong and attractive message to communicate the audience. Whatever we said through the campaign had to make sense to the targeted audience.ProcessFrom a single social media post to mega billboards, we kept a close eye on detail and consistency.To communicate the uniqueness of the product it was clear that the caption needed a fresh take and a total revamp. The existing caption was visually similar to all the other competing product campaign with common visual elements of cash flying, cars, gold, and treasures. Almost all the ads missed a human element and a compelling message. We immediately reacted to this absence and designed a campaign that put together the missing pieces. The campaign was designed with attractive messages in a typographic style and included model photography. The same model was used to communicate all messages thus enhancing recall. From a single social media post to mega billboards, we kept a close eye on detail and consistency. Each mega prize was categorized by a unique color and all collateral corresponding to the particular messages coded with the same color. ResultNumbers showed that new account opening increased and we have witnessed more customer engagements.As a result of careful design and well-though-out media planning, we were able to significantly increase brand awareness for Al Waffer as a product and the bank itself.• Since the artworks changed every two months, the caption was dynamic and kept the audience engaged.
